Twin Cup Coffee Maker - Want It - Make It - Drink It - Love It
EXPERIENCE: First of all, I have to say, I am quite impressed with this unit. Some of the features I love about this coffee maker is the fact it comes with two thermal travel mugs which work excellently, even with the tops off! I also like the removable drip trays, and the permanent nylon filters. And as a bonus, it also comes with a mini scoop! Using this coffee makers is really simple.
MAKING COFFEE: Some people like their coffee weak, some like it strong, I have found through personal experience that two scoops of coffee from the mini scoop, will fill the filters up to half way, and I feel that is the perfect amount for me, not too weak, not too strong. The filter bays basically slide outward from the back of the coffee maker, each filter has its own handle so you can pull it out.
Put two whole scoops of coffee into the filters, and replace them back into the machine, and slide the filter bays back into place. Fill the reservoir to the 2-cup level if you are...
Morning options - Coffe and Tea
I bought this unit becasue my one cup at a time Keurig unit gave up the ghost. I have tried two other single cup at a time coffee/tea makers but thought the idea of having coffe and tea (I drink tea in the morning and my SO drinks coffee) out of one unit was awesome.
I tried it out for the first time this morning and it worked as expected. Coffee on one side and tea on the other.
Pros:
1. You can brew two of the same or different morning beverages.
2. Comes with its own travel mugs, although I still used my own.
3. Both beverages came out tasting as expected, just like the Keurig unit used to make, but at a much lower cost.
4. Cost - very cheap to purcahse unit and per cup cost is low (compared to Keurig).
Cons:
1. No timer, so you need to push the button when you want it to brew. So, I dinged it for half a star.
2. Slow to brew. Not sure how you may feel about that, but I like my tea brewed faster. So, I dinged it for...
Hits the spot!
This product is everything we needed in one small coffeemaker. I drink regular coffee and my husband drinks decaf. Before purchasing this coffeemaker we had to make one kind and put it in a thermal carafe and then make the other kind. This coffeemaker makes it possible for us to make one kind in each cup at the same time. The coffee baskets don't require filters so that is a nice savings both for us and the environment.
Some reviewers complained about the coffee not staying hot enough to travel with but we are retired and can sit with our coffee while it is still hot.
