Simple and low priced
Was looking all over Home Depot and Lowe's for a simple cover that would hide the ceiling fan drops I had installed. 2 screws, press the plastic plate into the bracket and you are done. It looks great too.
Easy to install and looks good
Most hardware stores carry one style of ceiling box cover--a round piece of sheet metal, painted white, with 2 screws. Functional but not very pretty.
The Arlington box cover looks much nicer. The plastic is not flat, but rounded at the edges, which gives it a soft look. The base is easy to screw in to the box. Then just push up or screw the cover on to the base.
The slightly higher price is well worth it.
Excellent inexpensive option
These work great. I spray painted them the day they arrived, and installed them the next day. It only took a couple of minutes each. They are a much lower profile than the metal ones from HD that install with cap nuts.
