Easy fix for my GE ice dispenser
Apparently this is a common weakness of the GE ice maker / ice dispenser side-by-side models. I watched a video on how to replace this part and it only took about 10 minutes to do the job. This, combined with replacing the flapper door and the flapper door's spring have solved the problem of condensation building up in the shoot where the ice comes out. Now the ice flows freely down the shoot with no blockage. I felt like this was well worth $30 or so that it cost.

Worked great as a quick fix as I replaced my rusted one. I'm not a repair person but super easy to replace. Just remember to disconnect fridge from power as u make repairs for safety
