Ideal for Pet Hair
The Miele vacuum cleaner is already a substantial investment, but I recommend the turbobrush for those models that don't come with one. It's an especially useful add-on for those with pets, because the regular-head does only a fair job of picking up our golden retriever's shedded hair. I could just manage it by tipping the regular brush, but this is not nearly as effective as the Turbo. The Turbo rotates extremely fast (sorry, but the company supplies no specs on how fast), and has longer, more effective brushes to scoop up pet hair and any other kind of debris. This model (205-3) fits Miele vaccums only, but Model STB 201 Vario's adapter enables Turbo to attach to non-Miele vaccums with suction tubes that are between 30 and 38 mm. One other note: There's no storage cover; in fact, this one was not even wrapped in plastic for protection during transit. However, there was no damage.
The rugs look noticeably cleaner with the Turbo, as the brushes also tend to fluff them for...
Far superior to old "Powerbrush"
Sometimes it pays to spend more for quality. I have a Miele and had problems with the old battery operated powerbrush attachment (it was $250 and is no longer sold). Miele really stood behind the product and sent me this turbo brush as a replacement. It does a great job and is really helpful since I have a pet. It has two speed settings. You will not be disappointed.
You need this if you have carpeting
I bought my Miele vacuum first to see if I thought I needed this turbobrush. Answer: YES. If you have any carpeting, I'd highly recommend buying this brush. It's too bad it doesn't just automatically come with the vacuum. It makes vacuuming the carpet much easier & more effective.
